Lake Erie Summer League returns! MIST finishes 2nd behind Deacon Pierce's 2 new team and championship meet records

With the 2020 season cancelled due to COVID-19, MIST swimmers were excided to get back into the pool for the 2021 Lake Erie Summer League Championship! Lake Shore Country Club won a close meet by only 9 points, but MIST swimmers definitely made an impression!

Deacon Pierce had a strong showing in the 11-12 boys age group with record setting performances in the 50yd butterfly and 50yd freestyle. His time of 27.18 in the fly bested former MIST great Frank Krakowski’s time of 27.57 set back in 1995 meet, and his free time of 24.34 broke another MIST standout Joseph Stark’s 2004 meet time of 25.25. Deacon also won the 11-12 50 Breaststroke and swam up on the 13-14 gold medal 200yd medley relay with his brother Camden, Alex Sebulak, and Gavin Berquist.

MIST was also proud to have another 4-time champion in Lochlan Snider-Mills, who won the 9-10 boys 25yd fly, breast, free, and 100yd medley relay with his teammates Lucas Homan, Owen Graham, and Jackson McDonald.

We also had many other outstanding champions and medal winners! For the complete list, please click on our PDF results in the Competition Calendar and Results page.
