TRAINING GROUPS

At MIST, our training groups cater to swimmers aged 5 and above, encompassing various skill levels and experiences. We focus on placing members in groups that align with their physical, mental, and emotional maturity, ensuring they are both challenged and supported in their swimming journey.

Group Placement

Age is just one factor in determining readiness.

  • We prioritize placing swimmers where they feel challenged yet not discouraged, ensuring they race alongside peers of similar ability.

We use a flexible progression model.

  • Younger children may be in higher-level groups based on individual progress.

  • We emphasize that each child progresses at their own pace, with no rush to advance.

  • The decision to move up a level involves careful consideration from coaches, parents, and swimmers alike.
